2023 Claiborne County Sports Zone Hall of Fame Inductee presented by Michael Brooks, Farm Bureau: Edwin Robertson

The late Edwin Robertson was a 1967 graduate of Powell Valley High School where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America, and was the Tennessee State FFA Vice-President, and received the American Farmer Award in 1968. He attended Lincoln Memorial University, and The University of Tennessee where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball Team in 1967-68. After sports, he found success in many ways. Robertson founded Harrogate Hospital for Animals, and in 1977 he began practicing embryo transfer in the southeastern United States and in many foreign countries. He founded Harrogate Genetics, International, in 1989. Later, he also helped establish and served as CEO of Servolution Health Services, a free medical and dental clinic for the uninsured of the Tri-State Area. Robertson passed away, July 29, 2014.
