April 18- Claiborne defeated Cherokee in a 14-11 shootout. The Claiborne offense had 17 hits led in part by triples from Jones and Pressnell. The Lady Bulldogs also had doubles by Mullins, Jones and Jacey Ferguson. Sweet pitched seven innings giving up 12 hits, seven earned runs and struck out five. She went the distance for the win. The Walker and Walker Players of the Game were Jones and Pressnell.
