November 26- The second day of the Elevation and KOC Invitational Basketball Tournament featured two games. The first was Union County versus North Greene. The Huskies were behind by two points after one period, 13-11. Spurred on by 13 three-pointers, North Greene took the lead and never gave it up winning 70-47. Tyler Britton led the Huskies with 24 points including six threes. Three others had nine points including Jaiden Bailey, Kingston Ricker, Isaac Gaby, and Thomas Darnell. Havoc Fair finished with six, and Nathan Tolley scored two. Union was led in scoring by Kaden Carroll with 28 points, but he was issued a technical foul late and went to the bench. Jasper Brown had eight, Wyatt Lamkin dropped in five. Spencer Garner and Max Corum both had two.

The second game of day two matched the Campbell County Cougars battling the South Doyle Cherokees. The lead changed hands six times early but the ‘Kees took charge in the second. They led at the half, 39-21. The Cougars played hard, fast defense but at times they fouled too much. In the end, the final score was 71-48 with the ‘Kees taking the win. Caleb Moore led South Doyle with 18. Michael Henderson had 11, Jonah Smith had 10. Three others dropped in six each including Carlos Niyongabo, Fisher Jacobs and Reed Reynolds. Tucker Carr had five, Mason Knowles had four, Cade Carr had three, and Zy Rancher finished with two points. Caden Heatherly scored 12 to lead the Cougars. Jake Hatmaker had 11, Jack Sexton had eight. Two had six each including Koalton Cupp and Hunter Dotson. David Smith completed the total with two. * ALL SCORES UNOFFICIAL
When the tournament starts back up November 28, the games on schedule will be Cumberland Gap versus South Doyle, Claiborne versus North Greene on the winner’s side, and West Greene versus Campbell County, and Union versus Knox Ambassadors on the loser’s side of the bracket.
