Claiborne County Sports Hall of Fame Presented by Matt Compton, State Farm: Tyler Myatt

Our first 2025 inductee into the Claiborne County Sports Zone Hall of Fame Presented by Matt Compton, State Farm is former Claiborne Bulldog athlete, Tyler Myatt. Tyler was a dual sport athlete playing both basketball and baseball. The sport of baseball is where he excelled and was highly decorated in high school. His work effort was, and still is what led him to be signed by Walters State Community College where his team made a run to the JUCO World series. Myatt started setting records and earning honors with WSCC which led him to his dream of putting on an orange jersey as a Tennessee Volunteer baseball player. Here are his awards up to this point in his career:  2025 NJCAA Baseball Player of the Year, 2025 NJCAA Baseball First-Team All-American, 2025 NJCAA Baseball World Series All-Tournament Team, NJCAA Baseball Triple Crown Winner, All-TCCAA First-Team honor and the 2025 TCCAA Player of the Year. In addition, he was a member of the Appalachian League’s Kingsport Axmen and is now a top prospect for the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft. His parents are Carrabeth and Jerry Myatt and his sister is Emma Myatt. Congratulations Tyler Myatt from The Zone and Matt Compton, State Farm in Tazewell, Tennessee.
