Andrew McGinnis has stepped away from coaching the Claiborne County Lady Bulldogs Basketball team but will remain as Athletic Director and Assistant Principal.
Craig Ivey offered this statement:
“We are grateful for the dedication and leadership that Coach Andrew McGinnis has provided to our girls’ basketball program. During his time as head coach, he has made a lasting impact on our student-athletes both on and off the court. His commitment to building character, teamwork, and a strong competitive spirit has helped shape our program in a very positive way.
As Andrew transitions away from his role as Head Girls Basketball Coach to focus on his responsibilities as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, we are excited that he will continue to play such an important role in supporting our students, coaches, and athletic programs. His leadership and passion for education and athletics will continue to benefit our entire school community.
We thank Coach McGinnis for his service to our girls’ program and look forward to his continued contributions in his administrative and athletic leadership roles.”

On a side note, I’d like to thank Coach McGinnis for his passion for CHS athletic programs. He always stepped in whenever a coach was needed, regardless of the sport, and played a key role in raising awareness and funds for the Claiborne Athletic programs. – Allen
