On August 25, the Springdale Lady Owls volleyball team hosted their home games at Claiborne High School due to renovations in their gymnasium. They welcomed the young Soldier’s Memorial Middle School program. The junior varsity squads hit the court first, with the Lady Owls cruising to a straight-set win, taking the opener 25-6 and sealing the match 25-12.
Next up, the varsity teams faced off at the Carl R. Green Gymnasium. Springdale dominated the first set 25-4, while the Lady Blue Devils showed improvement in the second but still fell 25-10. The victory pushed the Lady Owls varsity to a 9-0 record for the season, while SMMS continues to search for their first win. With more experience and stronger communication, the Lady Blue Devils have the potential to become a competitive force. Photos by The Zone – AE.
