September 5- Claiborne hosted Happy Valley and the Bulldogs were looking for their first win of 2025. The Bulldogs kicked off to the Warriors, and they responded with a quick touchdown run. Happy Valley led 7-0 with 8:47 showing in the first quarter.
Claiborne fumbled the ensuing kickoff and gave the ball back to the Warriors.
Two plays later, the QB ran on a keeper and scored, making it 14-0 at 7:55, following a successful point after kick.
The Bulldogs drive ended in a punt at the 4:49 mark. The punt was returned for a touchdown but a block in back penalty waved off the Warrior touchdown return; however, four plays later the drive ended in another rushing touchdown, 21-0 with 2:51 left in the first quarter.
The quarter ended 21-0, and the Bulldogs resumed their next drive in the second quarter and ended in a punt. Happy Valley fumble on the punt return, and the Dogs recovered with 9:56 showing. This drive ended in points as Noah Burke found Kaden Willams for six. The extra point was blocked, but the deficit was narrowed down to 15 points, 21-6 with 6:46 showing in the half.
Happy Valley responded with another rushing touchdown, making it 28-6 with 5:32 left in the half.
The next Bulldogs drive featured two plays and interceptions, which the Warriors turned into a touchdown with 44 seconds left in the half. The first half ended 35-6.
The Bulldogs started their initial second half drive near the 50 on an Owen Stone kick return. That drive went over on downs to the Warriors. The Happy Valley drive ended in another rushing touchdown, making the scoreboard read 42-6 with 6:29 left in the third.
One play after the kickoff, the Bulldogs fumbled it back over to the Warriors who punted for the first time in the game.
The Bulldogs next drive continued through the remainder of the third and into the fourth with Colton Brewer filling in for an injured Burke. The drive ended in a punt.
Happy Valley faced a third and long at the 8:26 mark in the game. The Warriors moved the chains into Claiborne territory, but this drive ended in a field goal, 45-6.
There was no more scoring, and this game was in the books 45-6 in favor of the Warriors.
