September 23- Claiborne hosted Cherokee in junior varsity and varsity volleyball. It was senior night for the Lady Bulldogs but before the celebration of the seniors they played the junior varsity match. The Lady Chiefs won in straight sets 25-18 and 25-15. Immediately after, the senior players and senior managers were celebrated.
The varsity volleyball match began with the visiting Lady Chiefs winning set one 25-20. Claiborne rallied and won two straight sets both at 25-17. All Claiborne needed in set four was to finish out strong, but they stalled at 23 and let Cherokee steal it 25-23. The Cherokee comeback win set up a deciding fifth set to 15. Claiborne never got going in the final set and Cherokee spoiled senior night 15-4 and took home the match win, 3-2.
