Claiborne tipped off against Hancock County December 2 and simply ran away from the Indians winning 86-56. Ethan Cupp scored 12 for the Bulldogs during the first to give Claiborne the fast start they needed. Brennan Fugate, Brady Hamlin and Tyler Myatt all helped Claiborne lead after one period, 23-13. During the second period, Jake Smith, Cole Holt, Ethan Short and Evan Thomas joined in on the scoring and the Bulldogs pushed their lead out to 41-30.
Coming out of the break, Claiborne continued putting points on the board and outscored Hancock 16-15. Hancock tried to make a comeback during the third but the Bulldogs still played well. The Bulldogs hit five threes and scored 29 in the final period to take over all the momentum from the Indians. They won the game 86-56. Leading Claiborne in scoring was Cupp with 29 and Myatt with 16. Smith had nine, Hamlin had eight, Thomas had six, Holt had five along with Short, Fugate had four, Stephen Thomas had two and Vince Bolden had one point. Hancock was led in scoring by Mason Wallen with 29. Chandler Ferguson had 13.
