Cumberland Gap Girls Soccer finishes as Runner Up of Class A District 3

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Cumberland Gap Girls Soccer has wrapped up their play in the district tournament with a Runner-Up finish to Oneida in the Championship Game by a score of 5-4. This was a game that stayed very interesting right up until the clock was at zero. 
Amelia Serrenho had 1 assist, Aly Ramsey had 1 goal plus 2 assists and Brianna Goins 3 goals plus 1 assist.

Breanna Mason had 15 saves and her backup Natalie Johnson had 3 saves.

Cumberland Gap looks to keep their season alive Tuesday (10/19) at Loudon at 6:30. They have to win to make it to the Regional Championship on Thursday.

 

Cumberland Gap had several players added to the first and second all district team. Representing the first team are Breanna Mason, Amelia Serrenho, Allyson Brock, Carlie Napier, Abby Welch, Brianna Goins, Aly Ramsey and Alana Stallworth.


The second team representatives are Kiersten Witherspoon, Pierce Taylor, Natalie Johnson and Abbie Mayfield.

They also added several district player of the year awards:

Offensive Player of the Year – Brianna Goins

Co-Defensive Players of the Year – Abby Welch, Alana Stallworth

District 3A Player of the Year – Aly Ramsey

Coach of the Year – Lorri Kimbrough
