Springdale and host Soldier’s Memorial Middle School played two games of boys’ basketball, December 2. Up first was the junior varsity team. The Owls won the game 21-13 led by Robby Wilmoth and his six points. Will Compton dropped in five, Xavier Nickell and Emery Kieter both had four and Blake Gilbert had two. SMMS was led by Brayden Grimm with six and Eric Ferguson had four. Aiden Pressnell scored two and Mason Helton dropped in one point.
The varsity Owls defeated the Blue Devils 42-24. Leading the Owls in scoring was Owen Medlin and Owen Stone who both dropped in 10 points. Chace Robinette and Drew Epperson both had six points, Corbin Whitaker and Isaiah Cadle both had three and Robbie Buchanan along with Lukas Thomas had two points each. SMMS was led by Aden Roark with 10. Three others had four points including Eric Ferguson, Kris Ford and Kaden Lovin.
