The Claiborne Lady Bulldogs basketball team scored nearly 70 points on the road against Cocke County but still lost 96-67. At the half, Claiborne was down 45-27 and couldn’t stop the home team. Great offensive performances from Emma Myatt with 16, Hailey Sexton with 15, Hannah Fugate with 14 and Allie Jones with 13 just wasn’t enough to steal a win. Carly Hall added seven, Jordan Fultz and Taylor Pressnell had three each and Katie Hicks rounded out the total with two points. Paige Niethammer led Cocke County in scoring with 19.
