AED fundraising going well, Advanced Family Healthcare to purchase two for local high schools

April 4- A fundraising event got underway to supply both of our local high schools with additional automated external defibrillators (AEDs). Both schools currently have two devices (one on main campus and one roaming with the athletic trainers).
However, during spring sports as many as four or more sports may be taking place at once and when seconds literally could be the difference between life and death, having one of these devices close at hand is a real advantage to increasing the likelihood of survival during a cardiac event.

Jessica Warren with Advanced Family Healthcare knows the importance of these devices and stepped up in an amazing way. “I would like to cover the cost of two AEDs.”

Warren added, “I feel these are very important and life saving. I am thankful to be able to help. Young athletes and bystanders need them. I was completely unaware we had such a shortage. Put your remaining donations towards the original goal and I pray that more people donate.”

So with Jessica’s challenge let’s fund one additional device for each school. They need $1,040 per school that covers the unit, the storage cabinet and shipping so we need $2,080 total to cover both schools.

Brandon Payne added, “The website that the schools have been using only allows fundraising for three months and then if the goal isn’t met any funds raised are forfeited. So I will collect the funds on my end and flip to the website when the unit is covered. If you would like a tax deductible option then message us for the school link to donate straight on the website.”

Any donations to Brandon Payne will be listed in the comments with donor initials and amount for transparency sake and screenshots of the payments to the website will be added to the comments once completed. BP will update a running total needed based on donations.
