“I would like to nominate Ricky Barker as the First Responder of the Month courtesy of Randall Smith. He is a founding member as well as Assistant Chief at South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department. He has been in emergency services for well over 40 years as he was formerly a member of the Union County Rescue Squad. He doesn’t run as many calls as he once did but plays a very active role behind the scenes with fund raising.
