Cumberland Gap versus Oneida rivalry does not disappoint

The best soccer rivalry in East Tennessee just may be between Cumberland Gap and Oneida girls. These two teams always produce memorable games and September 15 at Cumberland Gap was just another example. It was a back-and-forth contest with the Lady Panthers earning a one goal victory at 5-4.

Brianna Goins finished with two goals and one assist.  Aly Ramsey had a hat trick (3 goals), Allyson Brock had one assist, Abbie Mayfield also had one assist.

According to Coach Kimbrough the First Century Bank Players of the Game are Natalie Johnson and Abbie Mayfield for great defensive pressure and man to man defense against Oneida’s talented forwards.

Here are a few game photos by KP and Mara Brock.
