The Zone’s First Responder of the Month is the late Ricky Barker. Barker was a lifelong member and deacon of Little Barren Missionary Baptist Church. He was a lifetime member of the Union County Rescue Squad since 1978 and a founding member of the South Claiborne Volunteer Fire Department since 1996. Recently, he was proudly elected by his community to serve as a Second District County Commissioner. Barker was a loving father and a wonderful grandfather, and his service will never be forgotten.
