Claiborne sweeps double header with Gatlinburg-Pittman on Senior Night

April 13- Claiborne High School hosted G-P for two back-to back baseball games. The first game of the double header saw Claiborne outhit the Highlanders 8-2 and win the game, 13-2. G-P was not helped by committing nine errors against Claiborne’s two. Derek Mase and Tyler Holt combined efforts on the mound with two hits and no earned runs. Mase had five strikeouts. Tyler Myatt and Dylan Foster led the Bulldogs at the plate, each with two doubles. Foster had four RBI. Mase and Evan Thomas both recorded two RBI.

The Sports Center Player of the Game was Foster. Congratulations Dylan.

Game two of the double-header was also won by the Bulldogs, 7-2. Claiborne had the 8-2 hit advantage and Myatt had another double. Brady Hamlin, S. Thomas, Mase, Myatt and Foster all recorded RBI’s. Myatt and J. Moyers combined efforts on the mound. Myatt pitched three innings and had three K’s and Moyers had two in two innings. Myatt gave up two hits and Moyers zero.

The Sports Center Player of the Game was Brady Hamlin. Congratulations Brady!
