April 13- Cumberland Gap played host to Claiborne on a strange evening of weather. At first, the temperatures were in the 80-degree range then the clouds came over cooling the players and fans down; however, the clouds eventually dropped a little rain on the courts. After a short delay, the call was made to Lincoln Memorial University indoor tennis facility and after moving over, the remainder of the match was played indoors. Cumberland Gap played well, winning overall. CHS was missing one of their three boys, CJ Cox, as he was resting an injury. Eli England set a milestone for CHS as he won his 70th regular season match. The win almost assures him of the number one seed going into the district tournament. Panther, Kolton Goins defeated CHS’s Jaylen Green. Lady Bulldog, Carlye England defeated Jaelynn Jones on the girl’s side. Below is nearly an hour of tennis action from almost every match courtesy of The Zone’s marketing partners.
