August 18- The Claiborne Bulldogs football team began the new season by traveling across Clinch Mountain and down into the land of the Grizzlies. According to the rankings Grainger had the slight advantage, but the Bulldogs were bringing a team heavy on senior leadership. Claiborne had a great opportunity to steal one from Grainger. Cole Jones and Tyrell Miles both found the endzone but in the end, Claiborne’s 12 points were not enough as Grainger managed 20. The 20-12 score was lower than most expected, but it was a great game.
