Titans defeat Panthers, 55-16

September 22- Cumberland Gap football hosted the non-region Titans of Twin Springs Virginia. Cumberland Gap received the ball to begin the game, but the Titans quickly jumped out to an early lead after an interception. Twin Springs continued to score in the first half, but Cumberland Gap was driving towards the goal line. The Panthers get into the end zone after a run by Hunter Sturgill and the two-point conversion was good by Hunter Gibson. The Titans quickly answered with another TD leaving the score 36-8 at the half. The Titans seen the end zone a few more times before Hunter Gibson scored another Panther touch down. Two extra point attempts forced two offsides against the Titans, so the Panthers opted for a two-point point conversion. Hunter Sturgill ran in the conversion with 2:48 remaining in the game. The Titans had a last-minute kickoff return TD and took a knee to end the game instead of doing an extra point attempt. The final score was Twin Springs 55 Cumberland Gap 16.
