An area consulting company, Tenny Consulting, based out of New York and Tennessee, is looking at roads in and around Claiborne County for a stage rally competition. Tenny Consulting, LLC., is the same group that has brought the McCreary Gravel Rally (MGR) and Lawrence Super stages to Kentucky. They were the first gravel rally events in the bluegrass state. The economic impact to the counties was hundreds of thousands of dollars, with one event injecting well over one-million dollars into the local economy. (*State of Kentucky statistics.)

They have historically sanctioned events with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) which is a national motorsports association which promotes road racing and high-performance driver education.

McCreary County Tourism Director Michelle Perry said this about the rally in Kentucky, “I am thrilled to witness the positive impact of the MGR on our community. This exhilarating event not only showcases our region’s natural beauty and rugged terrain but also brings together enthusiasts, fostering a sense of community pride and engagement. The MGR is more than a race it’s a celebration of our local spirit and driving force for tourism growth ultimately benefiting the entire community. We welcome participants and spectators alike to experience the thrill and charm of McCreary County.”

Tenny Consulting is currently looking at roads around Clairfield, Tennessee or if anyone has any gravel roads with little to no houses or know someone who can suggest private farmland with dirt or gravel roads, please contact them at the listed contact information below. The event will total 60-90 miles using two or three unique roads which will also be run in reverse.  Tenny Consulting is also looking to find a suitable road or property for a smaller event, called a Rallysprint. The goal is 30-40 miles in total. Roads that total at least 2.5 miles, are ideal but can be as high as 15 miles.
