Years before The Zone ever existed, Mike Reece had spoken with me about doing a website for the youth of our community. Since I was working with a local media company, the non-compete clause kept me from doing such a website. After my departure from there, I went to Mike and told him what I had in mind and was wanting some advice. I left that day, with a wealth of advice and enough start-up funding for the first year including the creation of the website itself. That talk with Reece gave me the confidence that I was on the right track.
