Championship Day at the Elevation and KOC Invitational Basketball Tournament ends in thriller.

 November 29- The fourth and final day at the Elevation and KOC Invitational Basketball Tournament featured the championship and consolation games. The first consolation matchup featured Campbell County versus Knoxville Ambassadors. The Cougars were seven points better than the Ambassadors at the half, 27-20. Knox made a run early in the third, but the Cougars answered and started moving away. By game’s end, it was the Cougars winning, 62-47. Heatherly scored 18 to lead Campbell County. Hunter Dotson finished with 13. For the Ambassadors, Alft had 16 and Bradford had 10.
The second consolation game featured Union County versus West Greene. Both teams started dropping in the three-pointers, but the Buffaloes began to pull away. By halftime, West Greene enjoyed a 15-point lead at 46-31. Although Union County made a run during the second half, they could not keep up with the high-scoring Buffaloes. The final score was 83-65. Leading the Buffs was Tytus Shelton with 21. Ayden Lamons dropped in 18, Elijah Williams had 14, Josiah Dawson had 12 and Luke Heck also scored in double-figures with 10. Union was led by Kaden Carroll with 28, Skyler Miracle and Jasper Brown also reached double-figures both with 11.
 
The third-place game was next. The tournament hosting Claiborne and rival Cumberland Gap game did not disappoint. The two were tied at 21 after one period of play. Cumberland Gap made a run in the second period and led 38-31 at the half. Claiborne tried to rally during the third and had the Panther’s lead down to four at 50-46. The Bulldogs lost the pace in the final period and Cumberland Gap took a 71-63 victory. Leading the Panthers in scoring was Brady Harris with 26. Kolton Goins scored 11, Keaton Clawson had 10. Cameron Burchett wowed the crowd with a two-handed slam with authority. Burchett finished with eight. Gabe Daniels had six, Colby Weaver had four, and Eli Reed along with Luke Lloyd each finished with three. Three Bulldogs had 13 each including Lukas Thomas, Kaden Williams and Drew Epperson. Kris Ford had 12, Conner King had six, Robby Wilmoth had three and three other players scored one point including Braeden Bennett, Aden Roark and Corbin Whitaker.
Finally, it was time for the Elevation and KOC Invitational Basketball Tournament Championship game featuring two awesome teams, North Greene Huskies versus South Doyle. This one was the best game of the tournament. Three points separated the two after one period of play. The ‘Kees led 16-13. North Greene rallied and led after two periods, 29-25. The Huskies made a run in the third period and led by six at 45-39. South Doyle made a run during the fourth and led right up to the last second. Jaiden Bailey fired up a three that hit the rim, went back into the air and swooshed through the net coming back down. The Huskies celebrated a 58-56 victory. Havoc Fair scored 16, Thomas Darnell had 14, Tyler Britton dropped in 13 and Bailey had 10 including the buzzer beating, walk off three.
South Doyle was led by Henderson with 13, Jonah Smith had 11, David Scott had 10, Jacob Fisher had eight, and Carlos Niyongabo finished with six. Reed Reynolds and Caleb Moore had four points each.
