December 9- The second day of the Claiborne County JV Basketball Tournament featured three games. The first was a girl’s game between Springdale and Forge Ridge. The Lady Owls took the victory at 23-14. Leading the Lady Owls in scoring was Addie Davis with eight, Paisley Harvey had six, Adalyn Slusher scored four. Arrie Holt and Ily Short both had two and Lydia Chittum scored a single point. Forge Ridge was led by Paislee Parker with six, Gracelyn Powers had five, June Rasmussen had two and Aaliyah Miracle finished with one point. * Unofficial scoring totals.
Next on the floor were the Livesay JV boys versus Forge Ridge. Hutson Wilder shined on the floor as he dropped in twenty points leading the Eagles to a 27-6 victory. Three others scored two points each including Levi Barnard, Payton Ray and Colton Fox. Axle Barton had a single point. The final game of day two was a matchup between Springdale and Clairfield. Springdale had eight players get in the scoring book with Silus Poore leading with eight. Four other Owls had six each including Barrett Parrish, Bronson O’Dell, Elijah Yeary and Cruz Poore. Tai Russell was a rebound machine and finished with four points. Jacoby Lawson had three and Eli Asher had two. Clairfield was led in scoring by Brantley Underwood with four, Abel Hunter had three and Bryson Hightower had two. * All scores unofficial, please consult your team for your totals.
