Claiborne County Sports Hall of Fame Presented by Matt Compton, State Farm: Ralph Teague

The second 2025 inductee into the Claiborne County Sports Hall of Fame presented by Matt Compton, State Farm is Clairfield’s long-time basketball coach Ralph Teague. Teague is currently in his 50th year as an employee at the school and in his amazing 38th year as basketball coach. He has had several winning seasons but at the top of the list is an undefeated and Claiborne County tournament championship winning Lady Eagles team. He was also coach when Gracin Gerber set the Claiborne record for most points in a single middle school game at 56. Teague is also a bus driver and has maintained the facility. He was also the person who installed the hardwood court. Ralph Teague loves the game of basketball and serves as a historian of sorts when it comes to players in the area. Congratulations to a deserving Ralph Teague from Claiborne County Sports Zone and Matt Compton, State Farm.
